What is a lottery syndicate you ask? Well a lottery syndicate is a way of playing the lottery as a group of players, unlike the normal way which would be to play as an individual!
There are plenty of ways to start a lottery syndicate, the easiest is to gather up some of your friends which already play the lottery and ask them to join. Or you can find local pubs, clubs which are offering players to join their syndicate.
The benefits of playing in a lottery syndicate are that you, play the lottery with more entries than you would normally buy. The downside is that any winnings won, would have to be split between all of the lottery syndicate players evenly.
For example let say you have thirty syndicate players in your syndicate. Normally to match the odds of winning the lottery to this syndicate, you would need to buy thirty lottery tickets. Because your in a lottery syndicate, you only buy one, the other twenty nine players buy the rest.
If one of the tickets or more win you share the winnings. Lets say you won £100,000, you would then split that thirty ways which would leave you with £3,333 each. Which isn't bad for a £1.
